Exploring the Paranormal - where the unusual is the normal

Join me while I explore the paranormal from the world of ghosts to parallel dimensions. A journey you will not want to take on your own.
Molly Brown
Molly Brown

The famous Molly Brown of the early 1900's, who was made famous by surviving the sinking of the Titanic, maybe still lurking around her old home in Denver, Colorado. Her real name is Margaret Tobin Brown and she was a socialite in her day. She traveled the world and was very well known in wealthy circles. She was also known as being very flamboyant, which was not typical of the women of her day. Apparently after her death in 1932 she still has a flare for showing up.

Although she spent little time at her home in Denver, a ghostly woman has been seen on occasion there. Other sightings include a ghost cat, which is thought to be Molly's pet and James, Molly's husband. The mansion is now a museum and it is open to the public. For more information on the history of her Denver home and the paranormal events that occur there, visit this link.

blood ritual

Am am sitting here and watching "Extreme Paranormal" on A&E. Normally the show does the regular paranormal investigating but as of late they are getting more bizarre in "provoking the spirits" as they put it. The latest is detailing and showing how to perform a "blood ritual" to get the spirits to react to them. So now they are showing low grade witchcraft to summon the dead! On the show prior to that one, they buried a member of the team in a coffin and then left him while the rest of the team wandered around in the woods.

Both of those instances, being shown in the guise of "entertainment" will backfire on the show, as there will be somebody watching it somewhere and will try to copy it....and perhaps get injured or killed in the process.

While I am on the subject of those poorly done ghost hunting shows, will someone tell them to turn on the damn lights? The lights are off for drama only. Ghosts don't care if the lights are on or off.

Phantom caught on home video

August 21st 2010 01:05
Everyone wants to see some proof of a haunting. Thanks to the newer camcorders and digital cameras, evidence is now being caught of the paranormal. People are posting their own evidence online now. The video below is one of the most widely viewed "ghost" videos on YouTube to date. It has over 39 million views. The video is short and if you are wondering what to look for, keep your eyes on the rocking chair. I do have to warn you that this video is not for the faint of heart.

Do animals have spirits?

August 18th 2010 07:18
One of the main keys of many major religions is the claim that humans are the only ones to possess souls or have a spirit. My guess is that it was the clergy's way of making humans superior to animals so that they could own them like property......wait a minute didn't some religions say that about other races of humans at one time? I am getting off track here, so back to the animal versus human spirit thing. If animals do have spirits then there would be some kind of evidence of them after the animal has died. Well it looks like there is.

There is one website that is devoted entirely to animal ghosts and it is called quite appropriately Ghost animals and hauntings. On that website you will find stories of animal hauntings as well as an active message board where people have a chance to tell their tale of animal ghosts
