Ocean and seaside ghosts

Famous ghost ships, haunted lighthouses and even the Titanic are not immune to ghostly tales and the paranormal. There several famous ghost ships that make periodic appearances. One ship, the Caleuche is the ship that the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean - the Black Pearl is based on. The ship appears off the coast of Chile and as the tale goes is suppose to pick up those who have drowned. The ship is suppose to be a beautiful vessel. Another ship is the most famous of all ghost ships, it is the Flying Dutchman. First mentioned in the 1700's, it has been reported to be sighted until modern times. Ships are not the only specters of maritime, lighthouses on the coastlines around the world have ghostly tales to tell. The TV show, Ghost Hunters, on the SyFy channel has conducted several investigations in lighthouses. The Oregon coast is supposed to have the most haunted lighthouses in the nation. The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse has an interesting tale of a disappearing girl. You can read more about that here.
That brings me to the Titanic. There have been reports from the people that have been investigating the wreck that they have seen apparitions in the ship. I have been unable to find any corroborating links or evidence to back up those reports.
Since the ocean is so vast and its depths unexplored we have so much more to discover what is out there.
