Predictions or Coincidences?
September 10th 2010 02:35
The realm of psychic predictions can take the most unusual forms. Take for example the book called Futility, written in 1898 by Morgan Robertson. It is about a ship named "The Titan," an 800 foot long ship that was supposed to be unsinkable. In the story, the Titan strikes an ice berg after leaving England on its way to New York and sinks. There are not enough lifeboats on board for all the passengers and most of them die in the icy waters. In 1912, 14 years after the book was written, the Titanic makes that same voyage and we know what happened after it strikes an ice berg. So was that an odd prediction or the strangest coincidence you have ever heard? By the way, the Titanic measured 882 feet long.
Of course almost everyone is aware of the common bonds between the assassinations of both President Lincoln and Kennedy. If you don't here are a few highlights:
Both presidents were succeeded by men named Johnson
Both Johnsons were Democrats from the south
Both presidents were shot on Friday
Both of their wives were present when they were shot
Of course there are more, but this is a blog not a book.
So are those merely coincidences or ? You decide.
